Emre Emirgil, Orhun Oguzulgen, and Bart Stankiewicz founded Interrupt & Fix (“IF”) after they realized at what astonishingly fast pace the party scene in New York has been evolving recently. Despite having very distinct backgrounds, Emre, Orhun, and Bart share a common interest in electronic music.

Given the continuously increasing popularity of numerous event concepts dedicated to electronic dance music, New York’s party scene has been thriving quite a bit in the past three years. Recognizing that New York has begun to embrace “sophisticated” electronic dance music, Emre, Orhun, and Bart launched IF, in order to share their common interest with the party crowd in what we all know as the greatest city in the world.

IF is committed to presenting electronic music events within innovative venues using the highest standards in state-of-the-art sound and visual presentation.

ORHUN OGUZULGEN, has been passionately mixing and creating music since 1994, including several appearances in New York City and Istanbul.

Orhun Oguzulgen started his music career as a band member (back vocals and guitars) in the early 90's. He played in several concerts in Istanbul and subsequently started composing his own music. He finished in 2nd place in the "Manhattan Ice Dream Song Composing" contest among 258 contestants that was part of the 3 day long H2000 Music Festival. His band shared the stage with Teoman, Duman, MFO and several other well known bands.

In 2002, Orhun moved to NYC and he started to combine his rock music background with electronic music and he started producing electronic music with live instruments.

He performed in various venues such as Pacha, Hudson Terrace, Bar 13, Porch, Diva, World Bar, Luxe and Zoe as a guest and resident dj.

BART STANKIEWICZ, grew up in Frankfurt/Germany, where he has been actively following the German electronic music scene, since the early 90’s. When he forayed into the world of house and techno, DJing was the last thing on his mind. Before he hit the decks, he was simply infatuated with discovering the various styles of electronic music. Initially inspired by Frankfurt’s DJs Sven Vath, Ricardo Villalobos, and DJ T, he got into DJing with several of his friends, who have been DJing at local events in and around Frankfurt.

His musical influences have been the likes of Steve Bug, Matthias Tanzmann, Christian Burkhardt, Loco Dice, or Anja Schneider and his musical style is a generic mix of deep house, tech-house, and minimal.

Bart has been DJing at different locations in New York City over the past two years as well as in Germany alongside his friends, when he was frequently going back to his native country.
